Amazing Sikkim
Friends,
we went to Sikkim on 14th of June, 2012. We left our city Allahabad from
Bramhaputra Mail(14055) to New Jalpaiguri(the nearest Railway Station for
Capital city of Sikkim i.e., Gangtok). After reaching at NJP we hired a
taxi from the Station to the Gangtok. Then we checked in the hotel named The
Himalayan Hights. Then finally we reached to the capital of the state of
Sikkim, Gangtok. It is an attractive tourist destination, reflecting a unique ambiance which derives from its happy blend of tradition and modernity.
Alongside the deeply felt presence of stupas and monasteries, Gangtok also
bustles like any other thriving town. Some of the key places to visit include
Rumtek Monastery, Do-Drul Chorten, Enchey Monastery, Tashi View Point and the
local bazaar, Lal Bazaar.
Moreover we visited MG Marg(The Mall Road). It was a splendid place that i ever
had before.
Then,
next morning we off to North-Sikkim by Toyota Innova and after 6 hours of journey
we were finally there in a beautiful cool village named Lachen. It was all
cloudy and full of nature. But across the way one thing which took our
attention was The River Teesta. It'd been really a good friend of us.
Then
in the next early morning we went to the very sacred and world's 15th highest
lake called Gurudonmarg Lake. I can still remember the view and heavy sound of
that cool breeze. Though we were at 17100Ft above from the see level and
suffocating place. However we enjoyed a lot there then we came to Lachen again.
Next
morning we moved to the another tourist destination of North-Sikkim i.e.,
Lachung. I must say if you are visiting Sikkim then you should not miss these
two destinations in North-Sikkim. There we got Lachung river, Yumthang Valley
and the last but not the least The Zero Point. It was all snowy and the
temperature was in minus. This is all about North-Sikkim that was definitely a
fantastic and unforgettable place.
